Adult/Child/Infant CPR, AED, & First Aid

This American Heart Association (AHA) Adult, Child & Infant CPR & First Aid course covers the following topics:

  • Scene Assessment and Safety
  • Medical Emergencies (asthma, allergic reactions, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, seizures)
  • Injury Emergencies (bleeding, shock, wounds, spinal inquiries, broken bones and sprains)
  • Environmental Emergencies (bites, stings, temperature related injuries, poison emergencies)
  • Adult, Child & Infant CPR (Compressions and Breathing)
  • AED use
  • Adult, Child & Infant Choking

Students will receive a two-year certification card from the AHA immediately upon completion of this course. The class complies with all Washington State (WISHA) and federal (OSHA) requirements.

AHA - BLS/CPR For Healthcare Providers

Students will receive an American Heart Association BLS Provider certification card (valid for two years) immediately upon successful completion of this class. This program is for professional rescuers: nurses, EMTs, dental / doctor’s office staff, and many other healthcare professions. There are no prerequisites for this course. Non-healthcare providers are welcome to enroll in the BLS Provider class, or, can take one of our AHA courses designed for the lay-rescuer: adult/ child/ infant CPR/AED and first aid.

This instructor led BLS Course includes:

  • High-quality BLS CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
  • Use of an AED
  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
  • Importance of teams in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children and infants

 

AHA- BLS Provider Hands On Skills Session Only

This is a hands on skills session only. You must complete the Heartcode BLS online course through the AHA at a separate cost. If you have not completed the online course you can add that on and we can send it to you. Select heartcode® BLS online to purchase.  IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THE REGULAR COURSE THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE THE ONLINE PORTION- SIGN UP FOR BLS/CPR FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS COURSE. 

 

After completing the heartcode BLS course please bring your certificate of completion to the hands on skills check. After you complete the skills check you recieve a AHA BLS Provider card good for two years.
